Bishop David Oyedepo was born in September 27 1954 ,he is the founder and presiding bishop of the living faith missionary worldwide also know as winners chapel international .An educationist, a great teacher of the world, a philanthropist, a university founder, a chancellor . 

He is the senior pastor of faith tabernacle, a 50 thousand auditorium reported to be the largest church auditorium in the whole world by the Guinness book or records 

The winner’s chapel network is presently in 300 cities in all states of Nigeria as well as over 63 cities in Africa, Dubai, United Kingdom, and United States of America these records have been superseded by events lately in recent times.

Bishop David oyedepo has been seen as one of the pioneers of the recent charismatic  renascences  swooping  through the Africa continent, his faith based teaching have transformed millions of life of believers all over the world .

Bishop oyedepo was born again in 1969 through the influence of his teacher Bethy Lashan, in his high school days, he studied architecture and worked briefly with the federal ministry of housing in Ilorin before resigning to concentrate on teaching of the world of God and full time missionary work. Bishop oyedepo also gained a PhD in human development from Honolulu university in Hawaii USA ,Bishop oyedepo received a mandate from God in an 18 hour long  vision in may 1981 to liberate the world from all oppression of the devil through the preaching of the world of faith, in 1983 pastor Eunuch Adeboye  daddy GO of the redeemed Christian church of God formally commission  Dr David oyedepo into the work of the ministry.

In February1986 he was ordained a reverend by late arch bishop Benson idahosa of blessed memories and in 1988, Dr Oyedepo was a consecrated Bishop. Dr Oyedepo is an acclaimed author and publisher and he has written over 70 tittles apart from periodicals, he is also the chairman and publisher of dominion publishing house, a publishing house that publishes on industrial scale and that has won several awards including the Ecowas award cited in the 3000 Jerusalem publication, Bishop Oyedepo is staunch believer  in concept of the total man and this is evidence through his  Endeavour as an educationist and the founding of about 100 institutions based on Christian principles from primary ,secondary and tertiary stages of formal education ,this is to empower the young generation and develop the human capacity and to improve the system of education in Nigeria and Africa, this drive has led to the establishment of kingdom heritage model schools in different cities in Nigeria.

The faith academy missionary full boarding facility secondary school, 1999 October 21, the covenant university in Otta Ogun state, in October 2022 Covenants University was adjudged to be best private university in Nigeria. On March 21 2011 the second university was launched, “The landmark” university Omu Aran Kwara state received the pioneer set of student.

Bishop Oyedepo is a strong critic of corruption in Africa as a whole and a strong teacher on how to develop leadership and he has demonstrated this in various extensive input and achievements that things can work anywhere including Nigeria.

Bishop David oyedepo is married to pastor Mrs.  Faith Oyedepo had four children David jnr, Isaac, Joyce and Love. David jnr and Isaac were ordained pastor in May 2007. He was conferred with the grand apostolic award by the board of governors Christ apostolic awards Christ life church , a doyen of a gospel of Jesus, man an industrialist for Christ, an entrepreneur for Christ, a man of charisma, a blessed man.Bishop Oyedepo in acknowledgement of this fit preaching on sermon title "receiving the the eagles anointing " said there can be no achievement in mankind, but only the  Engracement of God .
