Mr Akintola Williams was born August 9, 1919. the highly successful accountant attended olowogbowo Methodist school,Lagos, Yaba Higher college and university of university of London. After working with an accounting firm, Binder Hamlyn and company in London, he established his own firm in Lagos called AkintolaWilliams and Company. He was the managing director of the firm from 1952-1983.one time chairman of the Federal Income Tax Appeal Commission,he was the Nigeria n trustee to the London Commonwealth foundation between 1966-1975

Mr Williams is a co-founder of the first hire purchase firm, Bentworth finance (Nigeria ) Limited.
