Although not the originator of theater arts in Nigeria, Hubert Ogunde was the pioneer of dramatic action and realism in the profession. He was reputed to have taken the theater from the direct patronage of court and church to the people.
Ogunde demonstrated dramatic action and realism in his first Native Air Opera entitled; the Garden of Eden and the throne of God.more of his works are Aiye parts 1 ,2 3, Jaiyeosimi 1,2 yoruba movie translated in english .may his soul rest in peace and his good works preserved .
